Learn what Arity means

The Definition of ARITY

When programming an arity function or method is used on a function to determine the total amount of arguments the function is explicitly designed to take and is expected to be given.

In a nutshell the arity of a function is the amount of arguments a function can take.

In Javascript the function was introduced in JavaScript 1.2 but was later deprecated in JavaScript 1.4. The length property is used to check the arity of a function in the current version of Javascript.
